THE STATÉCO MAGAZINE OF INSEE-FRANCE PUBLISHES AN ARTICLE BY THE PRAIA GROUP
The STATÉCO Magazine of the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) of France, on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, published in this special edition dedicated to Governance, Peace, and Security (GPS), an article by the Praia Group titled "Now is time to close gaps in governance statistics – and the Praia Group is ready for the challenge," authored by Dr. Osvaldo Borges, President of INECV (also President of the Praia Group), and consultant Dr. Marie Laberge. Furthermore, we would like to inform you that the aforementioned authors presented the article at the Virtual Conference on "Governance, Peace, and Security Statistics: What measures for what results," held on May 31st and June 1st, 2022, organized by INSEE. Therefore, here is the link to access the articles of the special issue 116 online: https://www.insee.fr/fr/information/6446880 Established in 2015 with the support of UNDP, the Praia Group on Governance Statistics, led by the National Statistical Institute of Cabo Verde, is the only global forum today for statistics professionals interested in issues related to governance statistics. In March 2020, at the 51st session, the United Nations Statistical Commission approved the Handbook on Governance Statistics (developed by the Praia Group) and also renewed its mandate for the same period (2020-2025).
