Presentation of Praia Group Report at the 55th Session of UNSC
The Chair of the Praia Group (PG) on Governance Statistics, João Cardoso, presented the report of the Praia Group at the 55th session of the UN Statistical Commission, which was held for discussion and decision on agenda item 3(e) - Governance. As the last report presented to the UN Statistical Commission was in 2022, PG presented the evolution of its activities and priorities for 2024 and 2025. PG is currently in the last two years of its second term and takes this opportunity to thank the Task Teams and Steering Committee members for their unwavering commitment to this process. In addition, the PG takes this opportunity to thank UNDP for its continued technical and financial support and wishes that the commitment of all members, task teams and the Steering Committee will continue and bring further successes for the benefit of the much-needed field of governance statistics.
